Last week I showed you what I had packed in my make up travel bag. Well this week, as part of my mini packing for travel series, I wanted to show you the necessities I would bring for taking care of my skin. Keep in mind, I like to only pack what I feel is an absolute essential. My skin care routine isn’t too elaborate anyways since I am only 20 years old, although it’s never too early to start preventing wrinkles!
The bag I used to carry my skin care items is from Marshall. The bag comes with a bunch of carry on approved containers (bottles with various caps and assorted jars) that makes transferring your products much easier.
Q-tips: Q-tips may be an odd thing to pack, but I saw this handy pack at Target for a dollar so I thought why not. They’re actually very useful when I’m doing my make up or need help taking extra mascara off my eyelashes during the evening.
First Aid Beauty Triple Remedy Eye Cream: this is the current eye cream I am using, and it’s pretty good. I use it before I apply my make up and at night before bed. The metal applicator helps me feel more awake in the mornings, and the cream itself is a skin color that helps to brighten my under eye area.
Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Cream Kiss: this is a great lip butter! I’m not the biggest fan of caramel, so the smell isn’t my favorite but it was the only one left at the drugstore. I use it at night before bed to keep my lips hydrated so that when I wake up there’s no dryness or flakiness of my lips!
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense: this cream lives up to its hype. You get a A LOT of product forthe price, so it’s definitely a great product to purchase. It has a velvet smooth texture and sinks into the skin immediately making it a perfect night cream.
Taylor Swift Wonderstruck mini perfume: this is my all time favorite scent. It’s quite girly since it’s a sweet smell full of vanilla but at the same time settle if you only use one spritz of it on the neck.
Contact lense case with back up contacts: if you wear contacts ALWAYS bring extra pairs just in case. You never know when your contacts may decide to become super irritable or get lost.
Eco Beauty Good Day. Day Moisturizer & Be Fine Food Skincare Daily Moisturizer: try to pack your sample sized products during your trips. It’s a great time to put them to use and they’re small packaging makes it convenient to pack. I like both of these moisturizers a lot as they are made from good, whole products and moisturize my face nicely. The only cons to the Eco Beauty moisturizer is that there is no SPF and it has a leaf like smell that I’m not fond of.
Contact solution: for obvious reasons.
Garnier Clean + Nourishing Cleansing Oil: this oil is absolutely amazing and one of my must haves for taking make up off. Oils have become the rage in the last year from moisturizing the face to taking your make up off with it. It’s simply because oils do not strip your face dry. I use to take my make up off with a cleansing wipe but my face always felt so dry afterwards. This oil is affordable and makes taking my make up off so much easier. I love this oil but have also been wanting to try some other brands. I’m hoping I can find some good oils while in Korea since Koreans are well known for their amazing skin care lines.
I have one more installment to my packing for travel series, so keep your eyes on the look out for it! By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be on my way/in South Korea!
